Stolen
The pony pictured below was stolen yesterday from Brickhill, Co. Clare. It's current rider is a 10 year old girl who is a member of the the Co. Clare branch of the Irish Pony Club.
The pony is a grey mare, 13 hands apporximately, is very easy to handle and is called Snowy.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact: Seamus Walsh Brickhill Cratloe Co. Clare 0872181974 061 494060 A reward has been offered for information leading to the return of Snowy
As this in the second theft of horses/ponies in a very recent time scale we recomend that all members sould be increasingly vigilant particularly if your animal is kept in an isolated field accessable from the road.

At the recent Irish Pony Club Hunter Trial Championships the Tipperary Hunt Pony Club had 3 teams competing in the Open teams of 3 competition. They were Lorraine Meagher, Jean Meagher and Niamh Tobin, Nicola Halley, Carly Halley and Rachel Blackmore and Valerie Dromey, Ruth McGarry and Gillian Bourke. All the competitors rode extremely well, were well turned out and a credit to us all as weather conditions deteriorated fast! There were only two clear rounds as the course was quite tricky and we were thrilled that Valerie Dromey. Ruth McGarry and Gillian Burke were the fastest clear of the day and so won the championships.
In the junior pairs again Tipperary were well represented with Josh Halley & Peter Hannigan, KimRonan & Heather Ronan, Mike O'Hagan & Tim O,Hagan, Jack Kennedy & Kate Byrne. Again they were a great credit to the club as the rain was pouring down and conditions were very difficult. Josh & Peter were 2nd and Jack & Kate were 3rd, a great result for our Pony Club. A big thank you to Katie Murphy who came up on the day as trainer.

Charity Ride 2004
The Tipperary Hunt Pony Club with Charles Blackmore recently ran a charity ride from Killenaule to Moyglass in aid of Scoil Aonghusa Cashel. They would like to take this opportunity to thank all the landowners who allowed them to cross the country. Sincere thanks to the helpers, sponsors and emergency services who allowed for the smooth running of the day. All Pony Club Members are thanked for their wonderful support on the day and all the money raised will now go to benefit the children of Scoil Aonghusa.
The ride left Cashel Road after 12:00 Sunday January 25th in glorious January weather. The seventy riders taking part were led by Patrick Kennedy. After passing thought Cashel Road , Crosscannon, Graigue , Roan , The Rectory and Mortlestown Castle a twenty minute break was welcome. The ride then moved along through Lismortagh, Mortlestown Knockanglass, Cattagnstown and Clonbrogan to finish in Moyglass village at 4:00. After about ten miles and sixty fences refreshments in The Village Inn were enjoyed by everyone.
